My Favorite Outfits For Under $100

So its been quite some time since I've done one of these posts and it may be because they are the trickiest to do.  I find it's very easy to find a TON of super expensive pieces to put together for an outfit when your budget is limitless.  However, when you have such a specific mind (like my own) and get ideas stuck in your head about things you have to have to put together an outfit, sometimes it becomes difficult to keep the cost reasonable.

Today's outfit is perfect for spring-time weather.  There are so many versatile pieces you'll be able to wear all of them for many months to come in many different ways!

Round Sunnies - $14.00

(Small Round Metal Sunglasses available @ UrbanOutfitters.com, $14.00)

White Blouse - $14.99

(Charter Club Blouse, Button Front Textured Bib available @ Macy’s, $14.99)

Multi-colored Scarf - $3.24

(Multi Print Chiffon Scarf available @ Scarf Heaven Shop on Ebay.com, $3.24)

Denim Shorts - $14.80

(Stitched Detail Denim Shorts available @ Forever21, $14.80)

Leather Pouch - $9.99

Ecote Leather Pouch available @ Urban Outfitters, $9.99)

Peep-Toe Flats - $34.00

(Kimchi Blue Laser Cut Peep-Toe Skimmer available @ Urban Outfitters, $34.00)

Total Outfit Cost = $91.02.  The memories you'll have wearing such a great outfit and all these items over and over again = Priceless.

My Favorite Outfits Under $100

I figured this would be a great way to start off the new year, with another reoccurring ‘My Favorite Outfits Under $100’ post.  While this post sometimes proves to be a challenge, it’s one I always enjoy.  I love mixing high-end with lower price-pointed items.  The people that name brand discriminate don’t know what they are missing.  As much as I’m a heels girl, there is something about the cold weather that makes me crave flats and comfortable outfits.  (I’m sure you ladies feel the same way!)  I’m always looking for ways to achieve this level of lazy comfortableness while staying cute.  The flirty yet grungy mix of this outfit does just that for me!  I hope it inspires you as well.

Can’t go wrong with a cute hat.  Good fashion accessory and it keeps your head warm.  Nuff said.

(Swirl Knit Winter Ski Beret Knit Tam Hat available @ Amazon.com, $14.95)

This cardigan is another item that will slowly become one of the favorite things in your closet because of its versatility.  Plus, it’s cheap!

(Rubbish® Boyfriend Cardigan available @ Nordstrom, $25.90)

This dress is such a great deal because it can be worn so many ways! (Belted, with flats, heels, boots, leggings, tights, bare legged, with a sweater, no sweater, etc.)

(Ann Marie Floral Print Dress available @ RuedeChic.com, $22.00)

I’d highly recommend giving these tights a few small rips (and coating them with clear nail polish so they don’t run) to top off the perfect grunge part of this look.  Plain opaque black tights have been around for a while now, it's time to give them a remix.  Plus, if you already have a pair at home you ripped by accident, voila! Now you saved yourself some money.

(Opaque Tights by Guess available @ Guess.com, $6.38)

Does it get anymore comfortable than these boots?  Seriously.

(Women’s Riding Ankle-High BLACK Combat Boots available @ Stores.channeladvisor.com, $22.50)

Total Outfit: $91.73

What are some of your favorite ways to stay cute and comfy during the winter?

My Favorite Outfits For Under $100

Dear Reader –

I know I’ve been slacking on my posts for a few days now, not posting nearly as frequently as you or I would like.  This is mainly in part to a rather hectic work schedule (the advertising world is full of demands and deadlines and it seems as if extra needy clients are my holiday gift this year...I must've been naughty.)  I’ll also blame all the online shopping I’ve been doing for other people this year – I ordered everyone’s gifts online.  While ordering online was a much better option than braving the craziness in the stores and malls, it probably consumes just as much time.  (I just didn’t have anyone elbowing me to get by or have anyone honking at me as I slowly drive around stalking parking spots.)

While I’d like to share all of the fabulous things I found for other people this year, there would be way too much to post.  I found great sales everywhere and was able to get everyone way more bang for my buck!

Instead, I’d like to get back to my roots and do one of my favorite post challenges – My Favorite Outfits for Under $100.  New Year’s Eve inspired of course.

Forty-five plus

(Paprika Sequin Sweetheart Prom Dress available @ Rarefashion.co.uk, $45.00)
Seventeen sixty plus

(Foxy Originals Inca Earrings available @ Ebags.com, $17.60)
Seven eighty plus

(Pyramid Textured Wallet available @ Forever21, $7.80)
Four ninety-nine plus

(Women’s Opaque Black Tights available @ Zoogstercostumes.com, $4.99)
Twenty-two eighty equals

(Suedette Bow Pumps available @ Forever21, $22.80)

Total New Year’s Eve outfit cost: $98.19

Now it’s up to you to figure out where to celebrate!

My Favorite Outfits for Under $100

It's that time of week again and while this post has taken longer than usual (I'll blame the lack of brain cells I have by the end of the work week,) I've come up with another outfit for under $100 just in time for the weekend.

While most of you will be wearing something slightly more avant garde this year, I'll be sticking to regular garb and enjoying some nice dinners out with my other half.

It's not like I don't love Halloween, I do - but it takes me weeks to plan the perfect costume.  Very similar to how I plan the perfect outfit for a special occasion (or any occasion really)...lots of online stalking, careful plotting and ordering.  It might tend to teeter on O.C.D. (which I've already admitted I might have slight tendencies) but the end result is nothing short of phenomenal.

I'd prefer to not go out any other way.

Here's my favorite outfit for under $100 this week.

(Sheer Chiffon Dress w/Belt available @ Forever21, $29.80)

(SM New York Women's Chloe Clog available @ Sears, $21.99)

(Vintage Monet Sleek Ribbon Hinged Cuff by Oneofakindwisconsin available @ Etsy.com, $5)

(Vintage Goldtone Multi Bangle Bracelet Set by VonlenskaVintage available @ Etsy.com, $9)

(Floral Engraved Earrings available at Forever21, $1.50)

(Bohemian Embossed Rose Clutch available @ Forever21, $19.80)

While I love name brand designers, when I'm on a mission for the perfect look I'll shop anywhere to find exactly what I'm looking for.  More and more often I'm turning to stores like Forever21 to find trendy pieces at an affordable price.

What's great about these pieces are that they will last more than just the weekend.  Throw everything together for a great bohemian look or throw in some of your favorite items for your own twist.

Total Outfit Cost: $87.90.

You're welcome, that's $12.10 you have left over for another drink.

Until Monday,

My Favorite Outfits for Under $100

Just in time for weekend inspiration, I’ve decided to start a regular post on my favorite outfits for under $100.  This isn’t always easy but with so many online shopping search sites like Shopstyle.com, Instyle.com and TheFind.com just to name a few, looking for specific things in a specific price range has gotten MUCH easier.  Most of the time if you try hard enough (or know how to use Google) you can find free shipping and discount codes to be used on many online retailers.  (I haven’t paid for shipping in months!)

It’s not always easy to fit running to a mall into your everyday schedule.  I love online shopping bc frankly, I can do it anywhere and not interrupt my regular schedule.  (I HATE breaking routine.) (Slightly OCD, maybe.)  Another bonus – there are so many online retailers you’ll never be left feeling generic!  98% of the time, this is my preferred way to find the perfect pieces for my weekend ensembles.

Here is this week’s favorite outfit for under $100.00.

I think we already know that I’m slightly obsessed with lace up booties this season.  Paired with a slightly slouchy ankle sock, this is a great look to rock before it gets too cold!

(Oxford Shoe available @ Alloy, $32.90)

I’m really into vintage shopping.  (Lately I’ve been discovering some great online vintage sites, easier than thrifting.) It’s a guaranteed way to not look like the person standing next to you.  One of my biggest pet peeves is noticing someone in the same thing as me.  Vintage is almost a sure fire way to NOT have this happen.

(Vintage Navy Leopard Mini Dress available @ Shopramonwest.com, $49)

These ankle socks are a great buy bc they come with a black pair and a cream colored pair.  Personally, I’d wear the cream ones with this outfit but the black ones are great to have for anything else! (I’ll be incorporating them into another favorite outfit for under $100.)

(Ankle Sock Duo available @ Charlotte Russe, $7.50)

Etsy.com has slowly become one of my favorite websites to browse.  Known for featuring homemade versions of almost anything you can think up, Etsy is a great place to find original pieces and not break the bank.  (I mean how great is this vintage clutch? ONLY $8!! $8!!)

(Fall Brown Vintage Clutch by Post BedlamVintage available @ Etsy.com, $8)

Total outfit cost - $97.40

What are some of your favorite tips for putting together a stylish yet affordable outfit?
